Dr. Leslie Pendleton is a seasoned higher‑education professional with more than twenty years of experience.
As the Founding Director of the Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars Program at the University of Florida, her passion and expertise guided the campus in establishing a successful initiative that supports, funds, and graduates first‑generation college students.
For over six years, Dr. Pendleton has cultivated philanthropic relationships at UF. She values the opportunity to unite individuals around a shared commitment to the university, and now the College of Education, so that their generosity is matched with lasting impact.
Dr. Pendleton thrives on building teams and strategic approaches that advance organizational priorities. All of her positions at UF have been newly created or expanded roles that she pioneered and grew. As a retired college athlete, she brings a strong internal drive and a metrics‑driven mindset. For her, life centers on people and relationships.
