Chaohua Ou, Ed.D.
Director of Data & Learning Technologies and Research Scientist
Chaohua Ou, Ed.D. serves as the Director of Data & Learning Technologies and Research Scientist at the UF Lastinger Center for Learning. In this role, Dr. Ou leads strategic initiatives focused on developing transformative educational solutions, strengthening data systems, and integrating AI-augmented learning tools to meet the evolving needs of educators and learners.
Dr. Ou brings extensive experience leading interdisciplinary initiatives at the intersection of education, technology, data, and innovation. Her previous leadership roles include Managing Director of the National AI Institute for Adult Learning and Online Education (AI-ALOE) and Assistant Director of Learning and Technology Initiatives at Georgia Tech.
Her research and scholarship span learning design, learning technologies, learner engagement, and artificial intelligence in education. She has published widely in these areas and is the author of Designing Socially Dynamic Digital Learning, a book exploring technologies and strategies for creating digital learning environments that foster meaningful interaction, engagement, and social learning.
